Only attend the GP post if you have been invited to do so by the triagist. Check the general information about the GP post in advance. You may be invited to the Terneuzen or Oostburg location.
What do you keep on hand?
If you call 0115 643 000, the call will be answered by an experienced, specially trained medical assistant. She will ask you to describe your symptoms. In order to help you properly, the assistant will also ask you for the following information:
- For your personal details (date of birth, name, address and phone number).
- For your symptoms and what help you need.
- Further questions about your symptoms, your use of medication, medical history (diseases, surgery, allergies).
- For details of your insurance, on a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). These EHICs are the only insurance items that a doctor abroad can accept.
- If an appointment is made, we will ask you to bring a valid EHIC card with you and an identity card/passport, so that we can make a copy for administrative purposes.
Financial settlement
Anyone can contact the GP centre if urgent medical help is needed. With a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), we can record the insurance details immediately. Without a valid EHIC, you can still use the GP centre, but we need to ask you to pay (only by card).
Questions, compliments or complaints
The GP centre is there for you. We attach great importance to helping you as best we can. If you have any questions, please contact us. We can be reached during office hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). If you unexpectedly believe that you have not been treated correctly by the treating doctor or medical assistant, we ask you to inform us in writing by letter or email.
